Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Teradata Developer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise data solutions on the Teradata platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Teradata SQL , ETL processes , and performance tuning in large-scale data warehouse environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain complex Teradata SQL queries , stored procedures, macros, and views
Build and support ETL workflows using Informatica , BTEQ , and Teradata utilities such as FastLoad, MultiLoad, and TPT
Perform query optimization and performance tuning using indexes, statistics, and explain plans
Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Conduct data validation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for data issues
Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards
Support batch processing, data loads, and production deployments in Unix/Linux environments
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with Teradata SQL (joins, subqueries, indexes, explain plans)
Expertise in Teradata utilities : FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT, BTEQ
Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or DataStage
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (fact/dimension modeling)
Proven experience in performance tuning and query optimization
Working knowledge of Unix/Linux scripting
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred Skills
Experience with Teradata Vantage and advanced analytics
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
